Sharing A Secret
by Ann Gasser
Making a bed can be dangerous,
I truly can relate.
I stopped making mine a few years ago,
No point in tempting fate.
At first I felt a bit guilty,
But in time I adjusted, and now
It seems as natural as breathing,
Who needs a made-bed anyhow?
If I want to nap in the afternoon,
It is there, all ready, inviting.
No need to disturb any covers--
Now doesn't that sound exciting?
The world has not stopped turning,
The sun is still shining too,
And very few people even know--
Except for me-- and now you.
