Russian Folksongs

Here is a collection of the most popular Russian folksongs, and each song is offered in four different forms:

a text sheet with the original Russian words of the song and an analogous English translation,
a music sheet with the musical notation of the melody together with the Russian words of the song and an analogous translation,
an instruction how to play the song on the balalaika with the music and also the Russian words and an analogous translation,
a melody, plain and slow, just to help you to learn the song and to accompany the tune with balalaika chords.

Please, click on one of the four icons in front of the following titles, and the wanted song will appear on your screen. With your browser's menu you will be able to save it or print it out if you want to.

If printing or saving will cause problems, it is recommended to go to the page Russian Folksongs in PDF Format – there you can download PDF files of all the songs and save or print them without problems.
